Equitant species from Cuba. Tolumnia hawkesiana is the smallest plant size of the equitants, having 1” or less fans separated by one plus inch of stolen forming dense mats as mature plants. The flower spikes are about 6” to 8” tall with four to six 1” white to pale pink flowers.
