This is a very rare species from Eastern Cuba. It has bright purple flowers on tall inflorescences and likes to be in bright light. Plants stay quite small for an encyclia which makes for great under-light or windowsill growers. Flowers can last more than two months. The plants have been repotted fairly recently, but they are beginning to establish themselves in their baskets.
