Cattleya warscewiczii is a large Colombian species also known as Cattleya gigas. The flowers of the coerulea form are baby blue with a much darker blue lip and yellow throat. C. loddigesii var. coerulea has upright inflorescences topped with multiple blue-lavendar flowers with a nice yellow throat. We expect the introduction of loddigessii to bring a some-what smaller stature to the offspring and hopefully increase flower count and saturation of color within the flowers. This should produce some beauties!
