(C. labiata var. rubra ‘Red Queen’ x L. purpurata var. rubra)

This is a primary hybrid between two Brazilian species. By using the dark rubra form of both parents, the offspring produced have extremely dark color saturation. This is certainly true of this division. The robust plant produces large, dark flowers.

The flower picture is from one of the first-bloomed plants from this exact cross.
