BL. Richard Mueller x C. dowiana var. aurea

BL. Richard Mueller is a primary hybrid between B. nodosa and L. milleri that produces easy-flowering plants with star-shaped flowers that are yellow with dark red spots in the lip. C. dowiana var. aurea is a full sized species that has been a cornerstone in breeding large yellow Cattleyas. In hybridizing this species with BL. Richard Mueller, we anticipate a more compact-sized plant and are looking to see more of a star shape and hopefully carry through the large dowiana-type lip.
