This is a species from Mexico and tolerates a wide range of growing conditions. The 'Mendenhall' clone is exceptional, particularly because of its heavy flower substance. The rose-lavender flowers are beautiful and have a slight flare at the tips of the petals and have a velvety dark royal purple lip with a bright yellow throat. This selfing should produce some stunning offspring.
