Laelia (C.) mixta is a miniature Brazilian rupicolous Laelia that produces tall spikes with multiple yellow-orange flowers. The dark brown, deeply-saturated flowers of Schomburgkia (Laelia) splendida bloom on top of tall, stately spikes. This should make a really neat hybrid with tall, upright spikes of multiple flowers.
