(Enc. Rioclarense ‘Anda’ x alata ‘Celle’)

Encyclia Rioclarence is a primary hybrid between Enc. cordigera and Enc. randii. It is one of our favorite hybrids and has sweetly fragrant flowers that are a rich chocolate brown and a deep purple lip. Enc. alata is a Central American species with very fragrant 2” honey-colored flowers. The two-foot flower spike is branched and the flowers are long-lasting. In nature they grow very high in the trees on the edge of the canopy. Easy to grow! The resulting hybrid produces fantastic fragrant flowers on upright stems.
