A blue bifoliate--fantastic combo!! C. leopoldii var. coerulea (C. tigrina) 'Kingston Mines' AM/AOS is a Brazilian bifoliate species that has nice upright spikes carrying heads of fragrant flowers with a heavy substance. The olive green flowers are covered in dark maroon spots and the lip is pastel blue. When awarded, the plant had 16 flowers on a single inflorescence. What a trait to bring into this hybrid! The awarded blue clone of C. loddigesii var. coerulea 'House of Blues' HCC/AOS has a gorgeous shade of blue-lavender in the sepals and petals and also the lip, with a saturated yellow throat. This particular plant was commended it's "excellent form and heavy texture". Great traits to also bring to this hybrid. We are looking for offspring to have blue-lavender coloring in the sepals and petals, spot density with vary. The lip will be a darker blue and have a yellow throat. Good flower count is expected.

(About 2+ years from blooming size plants.)
