C. trianae var. coerulea
This is a species native to Colombia and is also its national flower! Cattleya trianae, in its many color forms, has been used extensively in breeding. This seedling is a sib crossing of the rare blue form of this easy growing species. While Cattleya trianae var. coerulea is one of the least blue of the blue cattleya color forms, a number of excellent blue hybrids have been produced using it as a parent. We have high expectations for these seedlings. This blue color variety is very hard to find in the trade.
(About 2+ years from blooming size.)
