Species native to Bahamas, Cayman Islands and Cuba. The fragrant flowers are long-lasting on tall spikes. The sepals and petals are dark chocolate/maroon narrowing at the tips highlighting a large lavender lip. The flowers are very fragrant of chocolate/vanilla. The plants tend to like brighter light and less watering that cattleyas or dendrobiums. They grow well in baskets.
