This is an interesting cross between two primary hybrids. The Epc. Kyoguchi's parent is a cross between Encyclia aromatica and Cattleya aurantiaca, while Laelia Gold Star is a cross between Cattleya aurantiaca and Laelia harpophylla. This will produce nice plants with upright spikes carrying upwards of twenty 2" bright golden to orange flowers, many of which have had purple or purple-striped lips.
