L. Maronii ‘AJ Land'

(L. rubescens var. rubra x anceps ‘Rojo’)

The mother plant was a remake of a very rare naturally occurring hybrid.  The species used in the hybrid were a large dark form of Laelia rubescens and a Laelia anceps form which has semi-alba flowers with a reddish lip. The result is compact rubescens-style plant with strong upright spikes that carry beautiful pink flowers. The flower picture is from a previous blooming of the 'AJ Land' mother plant.
